Such violence shows that far too many people do not value life. They fail to recognize that God created us in His image and in doing so bestowed great worth on us. In Psalm 8, David praises God for placing such a high value on humans. He wrote, “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you have set in place—what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them a little lower than [the heavenly beings]; and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals. .. .O LORD our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth.” Even though we are mere specks of dust in comparison to our enormous universe, yet God has given us dignity that is far out of proportion to our size. And even though sin has marred God’s image in us, God is pleased to call us his children when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. When we recognize God’s image in us, we will not degrade, demonize, or seek to destroy one another.
Might want to check how many were killed in Self Defense situations. To single out Firearms is wrong and shows an agenda. Should focus on the reason people kill as I’m sure your subject was heading before I got side tracked by the agenda
