The many-sided faces of a well-cut diamond help to illustrate the many sides of God’s infinite wisdom. God’s eternal salvation plan for us has many components. In Ephesians 3, the Apostle Paul talks about this salvation plan. He says, “I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.” Paul explains how God, based on the sacrifice of His Son, now offers to forgive all the sins of any person who accepts Jesus as Savior. Because we are united with God’s Son, we now have perfect acceptance with the Creator of the universe. Not only that, but God unites all who believe, whether they are Jews or Gentiles—or any and all ethnic groups—into one organic unit called the Church. God’s wisdom in saving and uniting all these different people-groups into one entity called the Body of Christ is so profound that angels marvel at God’s love and wisdom. Sadly, many Christians on earth still don’t understand this oneness, accept it, and act like it.
