One reason may be that many Christians do not know or accept what Jesus Christ died to achieve. By His death, Jesus not only paid our sin-debt, He broke down the barriers that separate His people from one another. He united Jews and Gentiles, Blacks and Whites and all groups that claim Him as Lord. By His death, God started a new race of people out of all who believe in Christ. He created a new body called the Church. In His church, God connects all members to one another and to the Head who is Christ. The Apostle Paul in Ephesians Chapter 2 put it this way: “Christ united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross and your hostility toward each other was put to death. You are members of God’s family, carefully joined together in him.” So since God has united all believers into one family, why don’t we act like it?
