It offers the solution for humanity’s greatest enemy—death. It tells us that the perfect payment for humanity’s greatest debt has been paid—the death of God’s own Son. It promises to satisfy the greatest longing of the human heart—never-ending joy. It offers the only escape from humanity’s greatest fear—separation from the God of love. It explains the only way this precious gift can be obtained—faith in God’s Son who took our place when He died on the Cross. We find all those truths right there—in John 3:16.
