God has not chosen to give us details of His plans, but He left us enough detail to whet our appetite. After His Son came into the world and died to pay the sin debt for us all, Christ left us His kingdom agenda: We are to proclaim the Good News that He forgives sins and grants eternal life to all who accept Him. Jesus told us to teach believers to obey all He taught about love and justice for all people. The Bible teaches that when Jesus Christ returns, He will transform the physical bodies of all who have accepted Him. He will give them spiritual bodies that will last forever. The book of Revelation ends with a sobering invitation: “The Spirit and the bride say ‘Come.’ Let anyone who hears this, say ‘Come.’ Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life” (22:17). Some things in the book of Revelation are hard to understand, but this invitation at the end is quite clear. Christ offers to accept and forgive the sins of anyone who repents and accepts Him as their Savior and Lord. To them, He will give the water of life that will satisfy forever.
