He did it after Judah pleaded with Joseph to spare his brother from slavery, to keep their father from dying of grief. After sending out his attendants, Joseph broke down and wept. He said to his brothers, “I am Joseph!” They were stunned! “Please come closer” So they came closer, and he said again. “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset; don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives
