That same description could also apply to ancient Daniel. He too had great integrity. His jealous peers wanted to get rid of him. Since they could find nothing wrong with his conduct, they created a law he would have to violate to remain true to God. The law said for 30 days, nobody could ask any request except of the king. The king signed it, but Daniel kept praying to his God. For that, he was thrown into the lion’s den. But God delivered him by shutting the mouths of the lions. We read in Daniel chapter 6 that “not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God.” Daniel was a model leader. It showed in his personality, his judgment, his ideals, his disposition, and his trust in God. God honored his integrity and rewarded his faithfulness. God is pleased today whenever and wherever He sees people acting with integrity.
