Experts can tell if gold is pure by comparing it with a known gold piece. They can use acid to see how it reacts, or they can X-ray it. But how will Jesus Christ decide who enters His millennial kingdom? Listen to these words from Matthew 25: “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” When Jesus returns, He will separate true followers from pretenders. He will reject those who did not show their faith and love for him by their actions. He said they will go into eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons; but the righteous would go into eternal life. Bible scholars disagree over whether this judgment takes place at the beginning or end of Christ’s millennial reign, yet the criteria is the same. He will accept those who had genuine faith in Him and proved it by their actions.
