Some ponder these baffling questions and conclude that there is no God-that stuff just happens. Not Moses, he knew God existed and was both powerful and wise. We read his words in Exodus 15, “Who is like you among the gods, O LORD- glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders? You raised your right hand, and the earth swallowed our enemies. With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed.” Rather than question God’s existence, as some people do, we should consider this: God exists but acts according to his wise purposes. The mystery lies with us. Our minds are too puny to grasp why God does what he does. If the greatest genius knows only a fraction of all the knowledge in the world, how can we ever fathom God’s perfect and infinite wisdom, love, justice, and power? He has declared that one day every being will bow to His Son and confess that He is Lord. Until then, God invites us to draw near to Him through His Son, to trust His wisdom, and know that He works all things according to His wise purpose and for the benefit of all creation.
