Andrew Young’s parents taught him: “to whom much is given, much will be required.” He has sought to live by this principle as a pastor, an aide to Dr. Martin Luther King, a congressional representative, a United Nations’ ambassador, and as the Mayor of Atlanta. Andrew Young’s passion is to champion justice for people all over the world. He knows, as other followers of Christ do, that the job of righting wrongs will not end until our Lord returns. In the book of Revelation (Chapter 19), John sees the day when Christ assumes His role as King of kings. He says, “I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of kings and Lord of lords.” When Christ returns, He will execute divine judgment. He will right all the wrongs on earth. Because His name is Faithful and True, there isn’t enough money, power, or prestige in the entire world to buy him off! He will end violence, immorality, racism, exploitation of the poor, violent and white-collar crime. Until then, we, His followers, keep sharing the message of God’s love and forgiveness, and we seek to right the wrongs around us.
