This year’s MOVIEGUIDE Awards, hosted by Kevin Sorbo (Soul Surfer), airs Monday night on the Hallmark Movie Channel. Scheduled guests include Pat Boone, Buzz Aldrin, Ace Young, and Mary Mary among others.
Have you ever sat through an awards show full of sexually suggestive performances, blatant attempts to provoke the audience, and arguably undeserving recipients? Well, let me introduce you to the anti-awards show awards show. The MOVIEGUIDE Awards, which honors family-friendly films and Christian themes, will air on the Hallmark Movie Channel on Monday, May 16th, at 7 p.m. EST.
The show, hosted by Kevin Sorbo (TV’s Hercules and the new film Soul Surfer), “also features the Grace Award for the Most Inspiring Performances in Movies and TV, the Ten Best Movies for Mature Audiences, the Faith & Freedom Awards for Movies and TV Programs Promoting Positive American Values, the $25,000 Kairos Prize for the Best Spiritually Uplifting Screenplay by a First-Time or Beginning Screenwriter, and, last but not least, the $200,000 Epiphany Prizes for Most Inspiring Movie and TV Program of the Year.”
